PromoPost - Prepare shipment

Should we take care of picking and packing for you? We would be happy to do so! For this, you can use our value-added service PromoPost Handling. You can, of course, also prepare your items for dispatch yourself.

PromoPost Handling – everything from a single source

PromoPost works with precision and without producing any waste. Each delivery office that distributes your items receives the exact amount for the letterboxes and P.O. boxes in your area. To make sure everything runs smoothly, we lend a hand with our PromoPost Handling service.

We would be happy to take care of counting and bundling your bulk items for dispatch to the delivery office.

We offer PromoPost Handling at a surcharge of CHF 0.01 per item (if an order requires an exceptional amount of time, the actual costs are charged).

With PromoPost Handling too, we need items to be prepared as follows:

• Make up units that are suitable for transportation and counting
• Keep unit sizes the same: 10, 25, 50, 100, 150, 200 or 250 copies
• It is better if they are between 4 and 6 kg in weight, stackable, tied or film-wrapped
• Deliver the total quantity of PromoPost items either on pallets or in other containers

Preparing your post

If you count and bundle bulk items for dispatch yourself, please note the following points:

Making up bulk items (bundles)

• Bundles are best tied crossways
• The total quantity of items for a single location should be subdivided into units of 10, 25, 50, 100, 150, 200 or 250 copies, depending on the weight of the individual item
• The dimensions of the bulk item should not exceed 390 × 255 × 183 mm (internal dimensions of a letter container)
• The weight should not exceed 6 kg

Volumes of more than 200 kg for separate locations can be placed together on pallets (max. 600 kg) or in outer containers (max. 460 kg).

Labelling bulk items (bundles)

Bulk items are labelled with bundle slips that must contain the various items of delivery information. These bundle slips are generated in PromoPost Tool and should be printed out for each PromoPost order separately. The paper colour must be light blue.

Pre-sorting by target letter centre

Does your order consist of three or more pallets or outer containers? Then we recommend that it is pre-sorted by letter centre. We can then route your items to the appropriate letter centres immediately.
