Swiss Post's special delivery service for legal documents is a service developed specially for debt enforcement offices and the courts. We offer multiple delivery attempts by our courier service if the first attempt is unsuccessful.

Your challenges

The success rate in serving legal documents – whether they be debt enforcement documents or court documents – on individuals is low. This is mainly because recipients are not at home during the postal carrier’s "ordinary" morning delivery round and because only a small proportion of documents are collected at post office counters. Subsequent delivery attempts by court officials entail high administrative costs and tie up valuable staff resources, while failing to produce the desired success rate.

Special delivery of legal documents

After the first unsuccessful regular delivery attempt and the expiry of the seven-day collection period at the post office counter, our courier service delivers your documents to the recipient’s domicile in the evening or on a Saturday morning. Thanks to Swiss Post's flexible infrastructure, we can reach people who are not at home on working days during the morning delivery round.

The price for the special delivery of a legal document is CHF 24 per document (excl. VAT).
