Automation technician

As an automation technician your talent for technology will come to the fore. Your responsibilities will be both project and production-based. You will be working in the fields of automation, electrical engineering, hydraulics and mechanics.

Requirements:

• Secondary/college student/year 10 and above
• Flair for mathematics and technology
• Good with hands and independent
• Genuine interest in customer contact

Duration:

4 years

Location:

Apprenticeships throughout Switzerland.

Training:

• 1st/2nd years: Basic training in automation using the public transport training system (login)
• 3rd/4th years: In-depth training e.g. in production support, automation systems and electrical control systems as well as specializing in maintenance

Vocational school:

You will attend the vocational school 1-2 days per week. Once you have passed the entrance examination, you can complete your studies at the vocational secondary school.
