IT trainee programme

The IT-specific trainee programme at Swiss Post.

Swiss Post is offering Informatics and Business Informatics students who are looking to kick-start their careers and collaborate on exciting IT projects the opportunity to take part in a specific IT trainee programme. The programme enables participants to explore different areas of information technology and to gather valuable experience along the way.

Structure

Work with us on the future of Swiss Post! During the 18 months, you will gain an insight into the many areas of information technology at Swiss Post. You will complete two placements of nine months each.

As a Business Informatics graduate, you will be collaborating on a number of different company projects and will be assigned responsibilities. You will be active in the interface between business and IT, and will thus need to immerse yourself in the technical aspects of the job, while in constant contact with the technical employees. You will be taking on the role of intermediary, responsible for coming up with the solutions.

As an IT technician, you will be collaborating on strategic projects, such as the J2EE environment, XML transformations, Java Tools or project portfolio management.

We will assign you to your first placement, taking into consideration your skills and interests. For the second placement, you can choose the area in which you would like to work – whatever interests you!

Supporting programme

In accordance with your individual development plan and placement, you will have the opportunity to take part in workshops, seminars, information events and internal training courses (approx. ten days). At the same time, there will be various networking events for connecting with other trainees and ex-trainees.
