The first CEC for Swiss Post’s subsidiaries, Swiss Post Solutions Ltd and SwissSign AG, has been concluded and approved. Swiss Post and the trade unions are satisfied with the outcome of the negotiations. In comparison to the existing HR regulations, the new CEC will result in various improvements, notably the extension of paid holidays (e.g. for paternity leave or adoption), as well as the extension of the notice period for older, long-serving employees by one month. A minimum wage and yearly wage negotiations have also been agreed. The 750 or so employees hired under the new CEC will receive their new individual employment contracts in November. The new CEC will come into effect on 1 March 2014.

First CEC for SPS

For the first time, employees of Swiss Post Solutions Ltd and SwissSign AG will receive a CEC. The new Postal Organization Act extends the requirement to negotiate a CEC to all consolidated subsidiaries of Swiss Post. This meant that Swiss Post Solutions Ltd and SwissSign AG needed to enter into negotiations. The talks were successfully concluded in late summer. In the meantime, the CEC has also been ratified by the relevant representatives of all the social partners.
