The interim Head of Post Offices & Sales, Franz Huber, will take on the leadership of the group unit on a permanent basis starting immediately. This decision was made by Swiss Post’s Board of Directors. Franz Huber is a long-serving employee of Swiss Post who has held numerous positions of responsibility in the Post Offices & Sales group unit during the course of his career. After various management roles in eastern Switzerland, he became Head of North-East Region for the Post Offices & Sales unit. In 1999, he was appointed to the group unit’s Board. He has played a substantial part in the group unit's operational realignment since 2003. He became Head of the Sales division in 2007, with the responsibility for developing the sales network. He has led the group unit on an interim basis since July 2013.

With his considerable expertise in the postal sector, Franz Huber has the ideal profile for continuing to shape the development of the sales network, with a view to customer requirements, local and regional political needs and economic conditions.

Franz Huber has two grown-up daughters and lives with his partner.
