Swiss Post Head of Finance retires due to ill health
Markus Zenhäusern retired as Head of Finance and Member of Executive Management at Swiss Post at the end of October due to ill health. Deputy Head of Finance Thomas Egger will take over Markus Zenhäusern's tasks on an interim basis with immediate effect. Swiss Post greatly regrets his retirement, as the company is losing a capable and well-regarded member of its Executive Management team. Markus Zenhäusern will still be available to CEO Jürg Bucher to carry out special projects.

After three and a half years in Executive Management and as Head of Finance at Swiss Post, Markus Zenhäusern has retired from his functions due to ill health. He relinquished his post as Head of Finance and Deputy CEO at the end of October 2011. Swiss Post greatly regrets his retirement. Aged 49, Markus Zenhäusern is a manager who is well-regarded across the entire Group, both for his technical expertise and his personal qualities. He will still be available to CEO Jürg Bucher for special projects. He will also continue with his committee memberships and with individual assignments.
Thomas Egger takes over in the interim
Markus Zenhäusern's former deputy as Head of Finance, Thomas Egger, is assuming the role of Head of Finance and Member of Executive Management on an interim basis. Egger will also continue in his role as Head of the Group Accounting, Controlling & Strategy department. Aged 42, he has proven experience in the financial sector. The Swiss Post Board of Directors will find a definitive solution to fill the position of Head of Finance as soon as possible.
