NZZ-Mediengruppe is to focus on its core business and will part with Prisma Medienservice AG on 1 October 2013. Prisma will operate as a subsidiary of DMC until the end of the year and will then be integrated into the company. This acquisition will enable DMC to expand its direct marketing activities. The acquisition will not directly affect Prisma’s employees or customers, nor will it have any impact on existing Prisma orders. The parties have agreed that the details of the sale will remain confidential.

Prisma Medienservice AG, with headquarters in Winkeln, St. Gallen, is a wholly owned subsidiary of St. Galler Tagblatt AG, which in turn belongs to NZZ-Mediengruppe. Prisma positions itself as a delivery business for newspapers and printed matter, and – like Direct Mail Company – offers various services in direct marketing. It operates in Eastern Switzerland, neighbouring Graubünden and in the Principality of Liechtenstein as well as in the Lucerne region. The company employs around 1,100 delivery staff, most of whom have an employment level of between 10 and 20 percent.
