Swiss Post launches pick@home parcel collection
Swiss Post is gearing its service towards the requirements of its customers even more by introducing a simple collection service for returning parcels under the name pick@home. The new service enables customers to have return parcels collected from home or another address by the postal carrier. pick@home is one of the many new logistics solutions from Swiss Post that takes into account the customer's need for greater flexibility. At the same time it is offering online traders customer-friendly returns management and strengthening the strategic focus of Swiss Post in the e-commerce market.

Swiss Post customers can now choose how they wish to return a parcel. True to the basic principle of offering increased access to physical and electronic postal services, customers can hand in returns not only at a post-office counter but can now also order online the collection of their parcels from any address. With this service, Swiss Post is offering a further logistics solution that puts the focus on more flexibility and simple online services.
Simple online ordering and pricing
In order to have a parcel collected from home or another address – for example from the office – Swiss Post customers require a free Login Swiss Post profile. Immediately after online registration, the collection address, the pick-up day (Monday to Friday) and the type of handover (personal or not) can be registered. The Swiss Post parcel carrier collects the consignment on the specified day during the regular delivery round. The prices for pick@home are dependent on weight and shipping speed.

Competitive advantage for mail order companies
pick@home is one of the new services from Swiss Post which provides more convenience in line with the needs of online customers. By integrating pick@home into their e-shop, mail order companies offer their customers a simple online service for returning orders. Ordering a parcel collection can be set up directly through the mail order company's e-shop. In addition, mail order companies can speed up their return business with pick@home. The pricing of returns for customers is left to the mail-order company.
What is Login Swiss Post?
Private customers can use Swiss Post online services with Login Swiss Post. After a free of charge one-off registration, some of the options available include redirecting orders, managing post office boxes, creating personalized stamps using WebStamp or, from October 2013, the reception of scheduled consignments can be managed online. This includes, for example, a collection period extension or a second delivery as well as forwarding to another address, post office or PickPost point.
