By appointing 44 year-old Valérie Schelker, Swiss Post’s Board of Directors and CEO have confirmed the succession of the current Head of Human Resources, Yves-André Jeandupeux, who will step down at the end of February. Mr Jeandupeux will run a consulting company in French-speaking Switzerland. Valérie Schelker has been Head of Working Environment and a Member of the Executive Board of PostFinance since 2014. Thanks to her many years of management experience and in-depth knowledge of PostFinance, she ideally meets the requirements for the position of Head of Human Resources at Swiss Post. With French as her second mother tongue, she will create a bridge with French-speaking Switzerland and represent an important cultural element within Executive Management.

In-depth experience in HR management

Valérie Schelker has worked her entire professional career at PostFinance. She joined the company in 2001 in the Marketing Services department, and in 2006 became the Head of Market Research and Analyses. In 2007 she was appointed Head of HR Consulting ICT and Finance, and a Member of PostFinance’s extended Executive Board. Other positions she has held include Head of Strategic Management and Organizational Development, and Deputy Head of the Working Environment department, which includes the HR and Facility Management units.

The Board of Directors and CEO would like to thank Yves-André Jeandupeux for his valuable cooperation and great personal commitment. He has been in charge of the Human Resources unit since 2005, where over the past 11 years he has implemented modern and efficient structures. He has made a significant contribution to the success of Swiss Post.
