On 22 June 2021, the Swiss Post General Meeting elected Dirk Reich as a member of the Swiss Post Board of Directors in an extraordinary meeting.

Born in 1963, Dirk Reich grew up in Germany and studied business administration. He began his career in 1986 at Lufthansa AG as a route manager. Reich then worked at Viag AG (1993 to 1994), Kuehne + Nagel (1994 to 2013) and Cargolux Airlines International (2014 to 2016), where he was most recently Chief Executive Officer. Since 2014, Reich has assumed various supervisory board and board mandates. Currently, the 58-year-old is a member of the Board of Directors of SkyCell AG and a member of the Board of Directors of the Det Forenede Dampskibs-Selskab (DFDS). Reich, who has dual German-Swiss citizenship, is also a member of the Board of Primafrio Group SL and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of InstaFreight GmbH.

In Dirk Reich, Swiss Post has gained a logistics expert with a broad, cross-industry network and over 30 years’ experience in the transport and logistics industry.

With Reich’s election, the Swiss Post Board of Directors is complete once again. He succeeds Peter Hug, member of the Board of Directors and Vice-Chairman, who decided at the end of April not to stand for re-election to the Swiss Post Board of Directors for personal reasons. The position of Vice-Chairman will be filled by Philippe Milliet. The Board of Directors would like to thank Peter Hug for his valuable contribution to Swiss Post and wishes him all the best for the future.
