Swiss Post acquires a majority shareholding in T2i

Swiss Post has been providing digital solutions in the healthcare, public administration and business sectors for many years. By acquiring a majority stake in T2i, a service provider based in French-speaking Switzerland, Swiss Post is investing in a company that operates in various areas of digitization for the public administration and companies in Western Switzerland. The acquisition will help Swiss Post consolidate its digital activities to provide even more effective support for public administrations and companies with their digitization processes, and to make their day-to-day activities easier. In Switzerland, the digitization of business processes is progressing slowly in some areas. This is where Swiss Post’s new strategy comes in: the company aims to position itself as an even more dependable partner for public authorities and businesses.

Swiss Post is a reliable partner for the digital transport of confidential information. It has been providing digital solutions for many years, be it for the electronic patient record, for encrypted digital communication via IncaMail or, in future, for e-voting. Swiss Post has continually increased its range of services for the whole of Switzerland to support public administrations, municipalities and companies with their digitization processes. The company is expanding its portfolio by establishing strong partnerships with market players, enabling it to bring together experienced specialists and provide vital expertise within digital public services. T2i will continue to operate as an independent company

To better meet the needs of its customers in Western Switzerland, Swiss Post has decided to acquire a 51% stake in T2i, a software publisher and digital services provider based in French-speaking Switzerland. In T2i, Swiss Post is investing is a well-established company at regional level, which has undertaken a number of digitization projects for public administrations and companies in French-speaking Switzerland over many years. T2i provides various software solutions, including the digital management of municipal services and document and HR management for companies and public authorities. Founded in 1983, T2i’s headquarters are in Sierre in the canton of Valais and the company employs 130 staff and two apprentices. T2i will continue to operate independently under its current name. The workforce will continue to be employed by T2i. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price or details of the acquisition.

With our subsidiaries, we’re pooling our staff and expertise to provide the cantons, municipalities and businesses with simple, secure and integrated online solutions. Swiss Post aims to speed up Switzerland’s secure digital transformation by using Swiss solutions to simplify the day-to-day activities of public authorities, individuals and companies.”
