The new stamp series is dedicated to Swiss river landscapes. The stamp for B Mail letters, now 90 centimes, features a spectacular image of the Verzasca in Brione. A beautiful section of the Aare near Rubigen upstream from Bern is shown on the A Mail stamp, now 1.10 francs. The 180-centime stamp displays the Rhine flowing near Chur while it still resembles an Alpine river. The 230-centime postage stamp is dominated by impressive greenery. The design shows the Doubs at Le Theusseret in the Doubs Regional Nature Park. The new 4-franc stamp for small goods consignments in Europe presents the Rhone in Varen in a mysterious twilight atmosphere.

Current definitive stamps still valid

The current existing stamps remain valid and their value can be increased using the three new “Coins” supplementary stamps worth 5, 10 and 20 centimes respectively.

The stamps are available from Swiss Post branches and at postshop.ch.
