The existing Post-App will be replaced by Post-App 2.0 by the end of this year. The new version is more modern, more intuitive and offers additional services. In a preview app, we’re testing the improved functions and reacting to customer feedback.

Get involved: we can shape the Post-App of tomorrow together

Sarah is holding an envelope in one hand and her smartphone with the Post-App open in the other. She wants to frank her letter with DigitalStamp. But which format is the envelope – B5 or B4? Sarah’s not sure. Thanks to artificial intelligence, the Post-App preview identifies the format automatically and suggests a suitable franking option. Sarah can pay the corresponding letter code easily using Apple Pay, TWINT or a credit card. Practical functions like these are part of the new Post-App preview – a publicly accessible test version of the existing app.

Post-App preview: help wanted

The existing Post-App offers a variety of functions that are being continually expanded. Swiss Post has developed the app from scratch so that it can better coordinate them and further improve the customer experience. With the Post-App preview, we’re responding to our customers’ specific needs. The app has been deliberately designed as a test version: we’re actively gathering feedback and adjusting the functions accordingly. Whatever works, stays. If a function is not well received, it goes.

Customers front and center

The Post-App preview focuses on the needs of our customers. It’s built with the following questions in mind: What would help in day-to-day life? And what creates real added value? To us, customer centricity is about developing solutions together with our customers – from their perspective. At the same time, it’s a strategic goal for Swiss Post: to remain competitive, we’re continuing to evolve so that we can stay ahead of the market and get even closer to people. In turn, we’re enabling them to get actively involved with the Post-App preview – to build an app that really makes a difference.

Understanding what’s important

The Post-App preview has been available as an early version in the App Store since February. Over 12,500 users have already tested it and we received almost 8,000 feedback reports in the first few weeks. More functions were added with the newest iOS update:

  • My Post 24: send parcels and registered letters 24/7 at terminals (without a display) and view the current occupancy status.
  • DigitalStamp for parcels: frank your parcels easily and conveniently, anytime and anywhere. Paying the postage is simple using Apple Pay, TWINT or a credit card.
  • pick@home: have parcels collected conveniently from your home or an address of your choice.
  • Support function: to get your questions answered as quickly as possible, you can chat with a bot in the app or contact our friendly customer service. 

The preview app is now available for Android. Not all functions are yet identical to the iOS version, but we’re developing the app at full speed.

One app, all services

Functions in the preview app that are well-received will be integrated into the existing Post-App by the end of 2025. The new app will become the main digital platform for all postal services – your daily companion for logistics, mobility, communication and digital services. Take care of your postal transactions even more easily in the future with the new Post-App.
