Various reports provide a transparent overview of what Swiss Post does and doesn't do. This reporting confirms the credibility of our commitment and serves to remind us of how we're doing. What do we need to keep working on? Where do we stand in terms of an international comparison?

Swiss Post wants to make a material contribution to sustainable development in Switzerland and takes responsibility for the impact of its business activities on its stakeholders and the environment. For effective measures, it prioritizes five areas of action along its value chain. In 2023, Swiss Post is voluntarily publishing its goals, measures and progress for the first time in the Non-Financial Report.

Swiss Post’s units have ISO-certified quality assurance, environmental safety, occupational safety and information security systems. In doing so, we undertake to comply with high international standards and to continuously improve our processes.

The Real Estate Management & Services Ltd and Logistics Services units have each been awarded a combined certificate for environmental management (ISO 14001), occupational health and safety management (ISO 45001) and quality management (ISO 9001)

Other certificates haven been awarded to PostBus, the Post Information Technology, Development and Innovation units as well as to the Address Competence Center.

Swiss Post covers 100 percent of its electricity requirements with electricity from renewable energies from Switzerland. It covers its electricity requirements for electromobility and access points with 100 percent “naturemade star” certified green power.

Swiss Post is responsible for calculating its greenhouse gas emissions and reporting them transparently in a balance sheet. This is also included in the financial report. Greenhouse gas performance is checked regularly by an independent body to ensure that it meets the criteria of ISO 14064-1 and the WRI/WBCSD Greenhouse Gas Protocol.
