This enables us to offer modern working conditions
We ensure fair working conditions primarily through the collective employment contract (CEC) and social partnerships. Swiss Post’s CEC covers a wide range of topics that go beyond the minimum legal standards. Specifically, we offer:
- Minimum wages above the industry average
- Continued salary payment in the event of illness, maternity leave and military service above the legal requirements
- Holiday entitlement above the legal minimum
- Fewer hours per week than the industry average
- Paternity leave of four weeks
- Cost sharing for childcare
Health protection and occupational safety
We want to prevent psychological and physical stress. To ensure this, we have our own control mechanisms. Our measures include the following:
- For heavy consignments, we provide our employees with suitable tools and resources to make their work easier. These include trolleys for delivery, pull-out conveyor belts in parcel centers and tipping devices for unloading box pallets.
- We work together with company physiotherapists.
- On request, staff can receive exoskeletons and support belts to relieve pressure on their backs and hips.
- We train leaders specifically on health issues.
- There is a digital platform with tips on mental health for all employees.
- Employees can contact internal advice centers at any time, even anonymously.

We take our social responsibility seriously and aim to improve the conditions for our employees continually. We promote individual advanced training, equal opportunities and pay, as well as work-life balance with flexible working models. Since 2025, for example, we have advertised all management functions as co-leaders.
