Anchor Navigation

Do your customers require deliveries of goods or groceries on Sundays or national public holidays? If so, Sunday delivery is the right option for you.

Here’s how it works

Consignments for Sunday delivery are labelled with a special code (“DIRECT” and “SUN”). This service is available for standard parcels of up to 30 kg. Deliveries are made on Sundays or national public holidays between 9 a.m. and 12 noon. Please contact us to agree upon the posting conditions and times on the day prior to the Sunday or public holiday of your delivery. We require your consignment data in electronic format on the day your consignments are posted.

Who is this service for?

Sunday delivery is aimed at senders who would like to enable their customers to receive their orders on Sundays or national public holidays.

Liability, exceptions and consignment labelling

Liability

The liability provisions for parcels set out in the GTC “Postal Services” for business customers apply.

Swiss Post accepts no liability for any damage resulting from temporary storage (e.g. spoiled goods).

Labelling

Consignments must be labelled with a special code (“DIRECT” and “SUN”).

Prices

CHF 30.00 / parcel (excl. VAT).

A pricing model can be agreed for sender customers who regularly post several parcels for the same recipient simultaneously.

Designing, packaging and addressing

There are several options for preparing a suitable shipping label:

  1. Own programming in accordance with the specifications provided by Swiss Post and electronic transfer of the consignment data via DataTransfer
  2. “Barcode” web service from Swiss Post

Useful information for your own programming is available from the “Barcodes for business customers” guide, which can be obtained from your customer advisor.

You can find out how to correctly prepare your parcels on the “Packaging and addressing parcels” page.

Settlement of accounts

Sunday delivery is a service for business customers who maintain a billing relationship with Swiss Post.

I do not currently have a billing relationship with Swiss Post and would like to apply for one.
