Oooway was set up in 2015 in the midst of the IoT innovation boom. Oooway soon launched its own smart cleaning products under the Oooway (Out Of Ordinary Way) and Ooobot (Out of Ordinary Robot) brands. The products are mainly sold to businesses but also to private individuals to help them with their cleaning and household tasks. The products are sold via direct orders (B2B), at trade fairs and, since the company’s inception, 24/7 on the Oooway.com online shop.

To make it easier for customers to order online, Oooway has constantly updated its Prestashop online shop, which was launched in 2015, and expanded it with new services. However, many manual steps were still necessary for in-house order processing: a shipping label with barcode was created in Swiss Post’s online service and the barcode number was entered manually in the shop software, generating the link for customers to track their order.

Oooway was one of the first companies to integrate Swiss Post’s Digital Commerce API into its shop as soon as it became available. This enables all steps to be completed on Prestashop, making order processing much easier. All that’s required is to select the shipping method to automatically create the complete shipping label in the Prestashop backend. It can then be printed out. This solution helps Oooway work much more efficiently, allowing it to dedicate the time gained to its customers.

Thanks to this module, we have the shipping label in our hands in under two minutes. The tracking number is sent directly to the customer and we can also check the consignment status on the product page at any time. Our time savings are huge, and that’s really great!
