Online shoppers appreciate being informed as soon as their orders are on their way and when they will arrive. It gives them security and increases their sense of anticipation. These are good reasons why you should offer your customers this convenient service: keep them up to date about their consignments via SMS or e-mail.

The following information can be communicated:

  • Proof of mailing: This message informs your customers that you will hand over their order to us for transport. The consignment may be tracked online using the consignment number.
  • Delivery information: This message informs your customers on which day the order will be delivered to them.
  • Collection information: This message informs recipients who receive consignments to a P.O. Box or poste restante that their consignment is ready for collection.
  • Reminder to recipient: The message reminds customers that they have not yet collected their consignment. 
  • Handover status to sender: The message provides you with information about the consignment’s status (e.g. delivered, ready for collection, second delivery attempt to be made).
  • Saturday delivery: This message notifies the recipient that a consignment will be delivered on the following Saturday.
  • Exchange/Return: This message provides your customers with information about the exchange or return of devices.

  • Address consignments and prepare recipient addresses.

    Transmission of address data to Swiss Post as XML file by e-mail, via SFTP or Sedex.

    Hand in consignments.

  • Validation of data and sorting of consignments by Swiss Post.

    Dispatch of the ordered notifications by Swiss Post to the recipient.

  • Delivery of the items.

Preconditions for participants

The notification services are suitable for companies that want to generate greater customer proximity by actively sending information to their customers.
