Digital onboarding in particular often results in incomplete or incorrect addresses. They not only have an impact on communication, but often trigger time-consuming internal processes, enquiries or manual clarifications.
In view of the upcoming FINMA Circular, which requires that a complete and confirmed postal address is maintained for each customer, address verification is becoming even more important during onboarding.
Address verification directly during onboarding
Exclusively via API
With Swiss Post’s address verification, you can be sure that customer addresses are checked and validated as soon as they are entered. The solution is available exclusively via an interface (API) and is ideal for digital onboarding and KYC processes.
Address verification is carried out automatically in the background and ensures that an address:
- has the correct postal structure
- has been entered completely
- is clearly deliverable
There are no additional steps for your customers, while you start with a clean internal database.
The address assistant can also be used; this provides autocomplete support during input and verifies addresses at building level. It is only the postal address that is verified and not the person living at this address.
