ID check in the Swiss Post branch
Personal identification and contract signing
Here’s how it works
Swiss Post employees compare the person standing before them with the person on the identification document.
Swiss Post employees scan the identification document presented.
The ID check system checks the validity and authenticity of the identification document.
The customer’s personal data is checked by means of OCR (automatic reading of the ID card data) and corrected if necessary.
If the customer’s personal signature is required for identification (confirmation, contract signing), the necessary document can be printed out and signed by the customer.
Depending on the identification process, the customer receives a control document.
