Postage paid impressions can be created online to suit individual needs. A promotional graphic, logo or brief advertising message can be added to the franking.

New functions for “Create postage paid impressions”

As of 01.07.2024, the “Create postage paid impressions” online service will have new functions available.

New “Create data matrix code” function

A data matrix code can be scanned in an edit field, entered manually or uploaded from an existing file. You can then create a new data matrix code.

“Create business reply label with data matrix code” function

The franking licence number is printed in the business reply label instead of the invoice reference number.

“Create PP impression” function

After creating a PP impression, you can click on a link to start the “Create despatch list” online service and create the delivery note for posting the consignments.

The new Swiss Post logo has been integrated into the GAS and PP impressions.

Creating PP impressions

  • Generate postage paid impressions for domestic and international consignments
  • Generate postage paid impressions incl. data matrix codes for franking and address zones
  • Import recipient addresses with/without Letter ID (max. 500 per impression created)
  • Add a logo, image or slogan to the franking
  • Determine what Swiss Post should do with your returned items
  • Print the address and postage paid impression directly on labels, envelopes and cover sheets
  • Download the postage paid impression as a graphic or PDF file

Creation of business reply labels with data matrix codes

  • Create postal prepayment impression for business reply labels with data matrix codes
  • Add a logo, image or slogan to the franking
  • Print postal prepayment impression directly onto envelopes or cards
  • Download the postal prepayment impression as a PNG or EPS file

Referral card

The referral card has been redesigned to look like a business reply label. You can still use them without being addressed and place them at the point of sale or enclose them with a mailing, parcel or magazine. This allows your customers to recommend your company to others.

Which label types are supported by which suppliers?

Depending on the size of the postal prepayment impression created, the possible label products and formats (Avery Zweckform or Herma) will be provided.

Label printing is not possible

What does “instructions for return with data” mean?

Data matrix code for postage paid consignments

For A and B Mail consignments, you can select how Swiss Post should process undeliverable items. If instructions for return “with data” is selected, the return data (data string of data matrix code) and the consignment pictures in the online service “Track consignments” will be available to download.

Referral cards

The instruction “Simple disposal, no data” is registered as standard.

What information is included in the data matrix code (non-exhaustive)?

  • Invoice reference number to ensure correct invoicing
  • Processing product, i.e. A Mail or B Mail (to ensure correct service provision)
  • Order number to ensure the correct registration of different campaigns
