As a legal entity, you can apply for reimbursement of any VAT due along with the tax assessment decision. The tax assessment decision also provides entitlement to deduction of input tax.

You will receive two XML files and one PDF. The PDF file is provided to enable you to read the tax assessment decision. The XML file with consignment number serves as the actual tax assessment decision and is of a legal nature. The “Validation Report” XML file is intended for authentication. You can use it to authenticate the assessment decision with a download from the FOCBS website.

Post CH Ltd performs customs clearance on its own ZAZ account. As previously, invoicing is still performed in paper form by means of cash on delivery or invoice. The tax assessment decisions are not sent with the parcel; they can be retrieved from the Swiss Post platform after the parcel has been received.

Customers without their own ZAZ account will need to keep collecting their receipt from Swiss Post.
