Do you want to use the home delivery service at home or on the go? This is now possible in your home delivery service area. Using your smartphone, PC or tablet, you can now request your mail carrier online using your personal login.

The benefits of the new online solution:

  • Simple and convenient to use: with a single click, you can ask your mail carrier to visit your home.
  • Security: you used to attach a sign to your private letter box for the home delivery service. The online solution means third parties are no longer able to see that your private letter box contains documents or sums of money.
  • Makes life easier for your mail carrier: your home delivery service order is sent directly to your mail carrier’s handheld device. This means they can avoid unnecessary trips on their delivery round.
  • Sustainability: with the new solution on demand, we are implementing resources in a more targeted manner, thereby avoiding empty journeys and minimizing CO2 emissions.
  • Keep an overview: you can consult all your open or completed and cancelled home delivery service orders.
  • The Swiss Post Login also means you can benefit from a wide range of other convenient services:
    • My consignments:receive advance information about parcels and registered letters that are on their way to you. Manage delivery individually for your desired day and location.
    • Frank letters and parcels: create your postage stamps or parcel labels easily online.
    • Retain mail: have your mail retained or redirected to another address by Swiss Post while you’re away on holiday.

You want to complete a postal transaction using the home delivery service? Use your smartphone, PC or tablet to ask your mail carrier to visit your home. 

Do you not have the option of using the home delivery service on a smartphone, PC or tablet? There are two additional options available to you:

  • Order pen: select individual home delivery services using the order pen on a separate tip card. If you want an order pen, you can request one online or via the Contact Center +41 848 888 888 (Monday to Friday 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., CHF 0.08 per minute).
  • Telephone: you can place home delivery service orders via the Contact Center on +41 848 888 888 (Monday to Friday 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., CHF 0.08 per minute).

Your mail carrier will receive your order and visit you on their next delivery round. If you order the service before 7.30 a.m., your mail carrier will visit you on the same day (Monday to Friday); if ordered after this, they will come on the next delivery day (Monday to Friday).

The mail carrier takes your documents or any money due directly from you in person or from your private letter box. You receive all receipts, change and the ordered goods no later than on the next delivery round (Monday to Friday). The sign method is no longer valid.

The order pen

Do you not have the option of using the home delivery service on a smartphone, PC or tablet? With an order pen, you can select individual home delivery services on a separate tip card.

Home delivery service FAQs

You can hand over your consignments, documents and cash directly to your mail carrier. You are also free to leave consignments, documents or cash in the storage compartment of your private letter box.

Initially, only cash payment will be possible for products. Cashless payments are planned.

You can order Swiss Post services and products. For example, you can request the posting of letters and parcels from your front door. For a detailed list of the products and services offered, please see the factsheet.

Swiss Post wants to offer its customers a more modern service that makes their everyday lives easier. The tried and tested sign method will therefore be replaced by a new modern and secure solution.

  • Frank letters and parcels: create your postage stamps or parcel labels easily online.
  • Retain or redirect mail: have your mail retained or redirected to another address by Swiss Post while you’re away on holiday.

The new solution will not be provided in areas without the home delivery service at this time.

The new service will remain free of charge in the areas with the home delivery service.

No, signs will not be used after the new solution has been introduced. They can therefore be disposed of.

With the new solutions, we have intentionally created options to appeal both to customers with digital preferences and to those who prefer offline solutions. If you are unable to use the home delivery service online or with an order pen, we can be contacted by phone on +41 848 888 888 (Monday to Friday, CHF 0.08 per minute).

Accessibility options mean that the service is also fully available to people with disabilities.

One-off registration is required to use the online service (Swiss Post Customer Login or Swiss ID). No data is forwarded to third parties.

You can dispose of the sign that you have been using for the home delivery service.
