Christmas – Festive greetings
There are countless traditions and rituals around Christmas. These stamp designs draw our attention to the many preparations for the big day and surprise us with delicate tongue-in-cheek humour.

The wintry forest is a hive of activity – the hare has got a wonderful Christmas tree and is speeding out of the forest on a sledge, the proud deer have got tangled up in the warmly glowing fairy lights and the little mouse is trying to carry Christmas mail home intact. The designs were produced as part of a competition, and Swiss Post employees had the opportunity to vote for their favourites.
For many people, the numerous habitual and cherished preparations for the festive season include writing personal Christmas greetings – and of course sending presents. With these three designs with face values of 90, 110 and 180 centimes, there is now an especially pretty way to do so.
