Stamp Day 2025 Döttingen
Stamp Day 2025 will take place in Döttingen. The design of the stamp issued to mark the occasion reflects the venue’s special features in a collage.
Rich Content Section
A townscape in stamp format: the stamp’s design is based on an aerial photo of Döttingen with topographical elements of the region. The stamp features two distinctive symbols of Döttingen. The first is the church tower, which was inaugurated in 1961. Constructed by Hermann Baur, the tower has been a protected landmark since 2017 due to its special lighting effects and interior design. The second element focuses on the surrounding nature and features the common kingfisher, which breeds in Döttingen. The miniature sheet’s background shows an electricity pole rising up, indicating the importance of hydroelectric and nuclear energy for the municipality. The power lines are adorned with fairy lights, representing conviviality and village life. But that’s not all: there are additional elements that can only be seen under UV light.
