Sheet: Swiss Jass

“Samschtig-Jass” was dreamt up in 1967 by Kurt Felix as Switzerland’s first interactive television format. The show features “Differenzler Jass” rounds, played in both rustic restaurants and unusual locations. For entertainment and atmosphere, there are musical interludes between the three rounds of play. On 4 January 2025, SRF1 broadcast its 1,000th show. To celebrate the event – by looking back to the first broadcast in 1967 – 1,967 copies of the “Swiss Jass” sheetlet from 2018 were overprinted. And because it’s the 1,000th show, the special limited issue costs 1,000 centimes. The actual face value of the sheetlet is 8 francs. Swiss Post is donating the additional proceeds of 2 francs per sheet to the Swiss Red Cross.
