125 years Military Insurance
To mark the 125th anniversary of military insurance, an icon is taking centre stage: the Swiss military blanket. The stamp combines social security with day-to-day culture.
Rich Content Section
For 125 years, military insurance has covered members of the armed forces, civil service and civil protection in the event of accident and illness, on duty and beyond. It is the oldest social security institution in Switzerland and still stands for reliability and institutional care. The anniversary stamp translates this concept into a familiar symbol: the Swiss army blanket. With its brown woollen cloth and distinctive red stripe, it has long since surpassed the military context. It can be found in mountain huts, living spaces or as an upcycled design piece.
From a creative perspective, the brand focuses on materiality and structure. The result is a small-format design that conveys the ideas of protection, consistency and collective memory in equal measure, depicting military insurance as an everyday cultural asset.
