From 14 to 17 May 2026, Biel/Bienne will become the centre of Swiss brass music. The Federal Music Festival brings together hundreds of associations and tens of thousands of musicians from all over the country.
Since the 19th century, the festival has stood for musical tradition, camaraderie and the preservation of association life. At the same time, it shows how lively and dynamic brass music is today: in addition to classical concert formations, the festival also hosts youth ensembles, light music and new stage formats.
The horn, printed in Pantone gold, is the centrepiece of the stamp’s design, symbolizing richness of tone, precision and festive flair. This makes the stamp the resounding ambassador of a festival that connects people, generations and regions through music.
