You can use our “Locations and opening hours” online service to find out:
- when the nearest branch is open,
- which nearby branch stays open the longest,
- where the nearest yellow letter box is,
- where the nearest My Post 24 terminal is,
- where the nearest service point offering the PickPost service is.
To ensure we are in possession of your latest name and address data, please use our online service “Report name correction” when changing name. Alternatively, you can also register the change of name in a branch.
When collecting consignments, you must provide the consignment number (proof of notification via SMS or e-mail) and a valid, official form of identification. Family members with the same last name may also collect consignments for you if they have a valid, official form of identification with them.

Consignments without barcode
Letters and international consignments without a barcode, containing goods and with correct addressing to a service point offering the PickPost service will be provided with a barcode by Swiss Post and deposited at the appropriate point, and the customer will be notified. Swiss Post delivers international consignments that do not have a barcode or contain goods to the recipient’s home.
* For international consignments, please clarify with the sender whether Swiss Post has been selected for the delivery.
You must confirm your address in order to be able to use all online services at Swiss Post without disruption – including “My consignments”, “Retain mail” and “Change of address”. For precise instructions, please see the help section below.
The following help section will also show you how to register your new address, how to confirm it in order to be able to use all Swiss Post online services and how to request a new confirmation code.
How do I register my new address?
To register a new address, log in to swisspost.ch and click on “Manage address” in the Customer Center.
As soon as your submission has been processed, it will be checked for correctness and completeness. You will be able to activate your new address in the Customer Center once you have received your confirmation letter.
How do I activate my address? How do I confirm my address in order to be able to use all Swiss Post services?
If you have registered a new address in the Customer Center or modified an existing address, this information will be checked for completeness and correctness. Upon completion of this process, you will receive a confirmation letter and a corresponding notification via the notification service in the Swiss Post Customer Login.
Once you have received the confirmation letter, you will be able to activate your new address. To do so, log in to swisspost.ch and click on “Confirm address”. Then type in the seven-digit confirmation code from the letter in the relevant field. Your confirmation code will remain valid for 90 days.
Please note: address verification is available only for addresses in Switzerland and the Principality of Liechtenstein.
I have lost my confirmation code. My confirmation code has expired. What can I do?
Log in to swisspost.ch. You can request a new confirmation letter by clicking on “Resend confirmation code” under “Confirm address”.
Please note: you will not be able to request a new confirmation code until the previous confirmation code has been delivered.
