Why are discussion and networking so important?

Swiss Post supports and promotes internal and external initiatives that bring people together and advance the topic of diversity and inclusion.

MOSAICO
Internal network for linguistic and cultural diversity

Worldwide, Swiss Post has over 54,000 employees from 143 nations who speak 85 different languages. The internal Swiss Post network “MOSAICO” creates awareness of the cultural and linguistic diversity at Swiss Post.

The mission

It offers staff throughout different regions and across linguistic borders an informal platform to enable networking between all units and promote the integration and development of minorities at Swiss Post. The network aims:

  • to demonstrate the benefits of linguistic and cultural diversity;
  • to promote openness about differences and inclusion skills among staff and management;
  • to make minorities visible and to strengthen their personal and management skills for further development at Swiss Post;
  • to draw up recommendations for action to help the Human Resources function management to promote cultural and linguistic diversity.

The network gives staff access to information and arranges activities such as table talks, tandems and relevant events. MOSAICO is open to all employees from linguistic and cultural minorities, as well as to anyone else who is interested.

Thanks to MOSAICO, I have the opportunity to promote the importance of linguistic and cultural diversity within Swiss Post and the chance to expand my own knowledge in these increasingly significant fields.

RAINBOW
The Swiss Post LGBGT network

RAINBOW is the internal network to promote acceptance and tolerance. It is open to all lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and non-binary staff, as well as anyone else who is interested. It provides relevant information, activities and events and is involved in specialist matters.

RAINBOW’s aims

  • To maintain and develop an internal culture of understanding, tolerance and acceptance at Swiss Post.
  • To overcome reservations regarding lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and non-binary staff.
  • To act as a point of information and contact for questions about everyday engagement with lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and non-binary staff.
  • To draw up recommendations for action for the Human Resources function management.
  • To give a voice to non-binary, bisexual, transgender, lesbian and gay staff and to represent their interests.
  • To foster discussion through joint activities.

If you work at Swiss Post and are interested, get in touch with the network at rainbow@swisspost.ch.

As a core team member of RAINBOW, I expect us to establish projects and events that help keep Swiss Post up to speed on LGBTQIA+ issues. All employees should feel comfortable here! We don’t want to just engage in rainbow-washing; we want to bring about real acceptance and inclusivity.

For Swiss Post, achieving this label means receiving both a quality seal and guidance. A quality seal, because this is a clear award for what we have achieved in the LGBTQIA+ field since the RAINBOW network was created. And guidance, because the process of achieving the label revealed topics where RAINBOW and Swiss Post will continue their work.

YOUNG VOICE
The internal network for young employees

We give young Swiss Post staff a voice and the opportunity to make themselves heard. In doing so, we promote discussion between different generations and lay the foundations for successful collaboration and exciting projects. This enables us to shape Swiss Post’s future together.

Our goals

  • To maintain and develop an internal culture of understanding, tolerance and acceptance at Swiss Post.
  • To work with the various units on cases and projects and thus create added value.
  • To expand horizons and promote intergenerational dialogue.
  • To foster discussion through joint activities.
  • To establish Swiss Post as a pioneer in engaging with young staff.

We look forward to meeting you!
