Design a stamp!

As the main partner of the Swiss Hiking Trail Federation, Swiss Post is committed to supporting Switzerland’s unique network of trails. But far more connects Swiss hiking trails with Swiss Post than just the colour yellow. Both represent a part of the Swiss identity. That’s something we’re paying tribute to with a very special stamp – created by you! Don’t miss this unique opportunity to take part in our design competition.

Did you know that hiking is Switzerland’s most popular leisure activity? 4  million residents in all age groups go hiking regularly. It’s hardly surprising, given that Switzerland is an absolute paradise for hikers: 65, 000 kilometres of well-maintained hiking trails provide access to Switzerland’s most magnificent landscapes – from local recreational areas to Alpine mountains.

Show us your favourite design

Until 27 October 2021, you’ve got the chance to draw on your imagination for inspiration in our design competition. Create your very own stamp design on the topic of hiking. For instance, with a scene from a memorable hiking trip, a particular item that’s essential on your hikes or the most stunning trail you’ve ever hiked? Create your favourite design – whatever it might be!

A unique prize awaits you

The winner of the stamp competition will receive a Transa voucher worth 1,000 francs, an annual subscription to WANDERN.CH and a box of Caran d’Ache coloured pencils. And best of all: the winning design will feature on a stamp, which we’ll issue on 8 September 2022.

We can’t wait to receive your design entry!

A part of the Swiss identity

Far more connects Swiss hiking trails with Swiss Post than just the colour yellow. The signs on the hiking trails are just as much part of Switzerland as Swiss Post is. Going beyond language borders, regions and even generations, hiking trails and Swiss Post form part of Switzerland’s identity, representing quality and reliability. As the main partner of the Swiss Hiking Trail Federation, Swiss Post has been committed to supporting this unique network of trails since 2017. On the hiking map published annually, Swiss Post presents family-friendly hiking trails suitable for young and old. Swiss Post also supports several especially family-friendly hiking projects each year through the Swiss Post incentive award, which could not go ahead without financial support. And Swiss Post employees have the opportunity to roll their sleeves up and help out with maintaining the hiking trails – together with over 1,500 volunteers throughout Switzerland.
