- P.O. Box “Extra” will now be called P.O. Box “Separate”, and the costs will remain unchanged (240.00 a year)

Previous service
- Both P.O. Box variants (“Basic” and “Extra”) were offered
- Free of charge or CHF 240.00 a year
- One-off counter fee of CHF 12.00
New P.O. Box “Association” service
- The product for associations without a domicile address
- The P.O. Box “Association” service can only be opened at the counter
- CHF 120.00 a year
- One-off counter fee of CHF 12.00
- If you do not agree with the new prices, you can cancel your P.O. Box at any time via the Swiss Post Customer Login, at the counter or by phone.
- If you decide to cancel, you will not be entitled to a refund for the P.O Boxes that were previously subject to a charge.
- With the P.O. Box “Standard” option, letter mail will be redirected to the domicile address free of charge for one year.
- With the P.O. Box “Separate” option, letter mail items can be redirected as of 3 January 2022 using a “Temporarily redirect mail” order (for up to one year).
- You can open a new P.O. Box “Standard” in the Swiss Post Customer Login or at the counter, and also close the old P.O. Box. As soon as the new P.O. Box is registered, the remaining credit balance will be credited to the new P.O. Box. Please get in touch with the Contact Center.
- The same process applies when changing from the P.O Box “Standard” to the P.O. Box “Separate”. If you make the change before 1 January 2022, you must purchase the P.O. Box “Extra” product.
- All letter mail from the entire private letter box is now delivered to the P.O. Box. Either all items are delivered to the P.O. Box or you create a P.O. Box “Separate” and request a permanent redirection to this P.O. Box.
- Are you already using this offer and are now suddenly receiving letters for people from your household delivered to your P.O. Box? In this case, please get in touch with the Swiss Post Contact Center.
Other recipient services
- Three durations are now available (previously only 12 months for CHF 30.00):
- 6 months (CHF 35.00)
- 12 months (CHF 45.00)
- 18 months (CHF 55.00)
- Counter fee: CHF 12.00
- For additional persons/companies, a flat-rate surcharge of CHF 15.00 will now apply (previously CHF 5.00 per person/company)
- Forwarding orders abroad will still cost CHF 90.00 for 12 months
-
The services will essentially remain the same.
-
There is now explicitly no redirection included; any forwarding orders will incur a fee.
-
Please ensure that the address is correct. Due to product changes, letter mail that is not addressed with the correct P.O. Box address as of January 2022 will be delivered to the sub-addressee’s domicile address. An example of correct addressing can be found in the “Sub-address” factsheet (PDF, 48.8 KB) (available in German only).
-
Are you responsible for the correspondence of an association? For associations without a domicile address, it is not possible to create sub-addresses due to technical adjustments and in combination with the missing domicile address. You can either open a separate P.O. Box “Association” for the association or use as a c/o address the previous P.O. Box address so that you can continue receiving letter mail.
- The services will remain the same
- Modifications will still be free of charge
- Only available to Swiss associations
- CHF 40.00 a year (previously CHF 20.00 a year)
- You can register, cancel and change your membership using the “Association address” form, by e-mail or at the counter. More information is available on the “Association address” site.
