Who is this service for & preconditions

Having parcels deposited is suitable for private customers who want to receive their items quickly – even when they are not at home.

Deposit consignment

The following options are available for example:

  • By the stairs / in the stairwell
  • By entrance to the house
  • At the letter box

The deposit locations must be freely accessible, not visible from the street and protected against the weather. If this is not the case (or if the location is not clearly specified), no delivery will be made. In this case, you will receive a collection note.

Delivery to neighbour

You can also designate a neighbour to take delivery. The neighbour must live in the same property or on an immediately adjacent property. Should this not be the case, or if the address is unclear, the mail carrier will attempt to deliver the parcel to your door. If you are not at home, a collection note will be left by the mail carrier.

Liability

Before ordering, you must confirm as the recipient that you have read and accept the General Terms and Conditions relating to “My consignments” (PDF, 69.5 KB). Swiss Post records the delivery electronically. After delivery of the parcel, any and all liability claims against Swiss Post are ruled out.
