Authorizations at Swiss Post
Collection by third parties at a branch

Anchor Navigation

Can’t go to the post office counter in person to collect missed consignments? With an authorization, you allow one or multiple people to accept consignments for you or your company.

At a glance:

  • Authorization for one or multiple people
  • Permanent authorization or single authorization
  • For all postal items except “Personal delivery”

Authorizations: everything you need to know

With an authorization, you permit other people to collect all consignments for you or your company at the post office counter. This includes parcels or important documents such as debt collection and court documents, outpayment orders and outpayment slips with reference number. The authorized persons confirm receipt of the consignment with their signature.

Useful information: no authorization can be issued for consignments with the “Personal delivery” value-added service. You must collect these in person.

More information can be found in the “Authorizations” factsheet (PDF, 48.5 KB).

Permanent authorization
Authorize third parties on a permanent basis

No time for the post office counter? No problem! With our permanent authorization, you allow third parties to collect consignments on your behalf on a permanent basis. You can issue a permanent authorization conveniently online or at a branch.

Single authorization
Authorize third parties once

Missed your delivery? As a private customer, you can create a single authorization free of charge and with ease. By doing so, you allow a person to collect a specific consignment for you.
