With “My digital mail” in the Post-App, you can receive, read and store your post directly on your smartphone. This allows you to keep track of your documents – securely, clearly and always at hand. “My digital mail” is part of the Post-App and is free of charge for you.

What functions does “My digital mail” include?

Receive mail digitally

Receive digital letters directly from participating senders – such as insurance companies, municipalities or energy suppliers. Deliveries are made digitally in your Post-App, confidentially and protected by digital mail secrecy.

What is the digital letter? More than just a PDF document!

  1. Digital submission: companies and public authorities submit their mail digitally. The recipient’s postal address is sufficient for this.
  2. Digital letters: Swiss Post takes care of everything else: checking, sorting, delivery. Every consignment is legally secure and has a seal.
  3. Hybrid delivery: as the recipient, you receive your mail digitally in the Post-App or physically in your letter box, as you prefer.

Pay invoices with a single click

You can pay invoices directly from the Post-App – thanks to the connection. You can link your bank accounts to the digital letter box in “My digital mail”. When an invoice arrives, you can pay it directly from the app or schedule it for later. All in just a few clicks.

Manage documents easily

Your received letters and documents are automatically filed and are available at all times. With the search function, you can find documents in no time at all – from proof of insurance to your tax bill.

What you need to know

  • “My digital mail” works in the Post-App on iOS and Android devices (from version 14.5 or 8.0).
  • Some consignments will continue to be delivered physically, for example, if the sender is not yet connected to digital delivery.
  • The network of digital senders is constantly growing – more and more companies and authorities are using this secure channel.
  • All basic functions are free of charge. The scanning service is optional and can be activated separately.

Security and data protection

Digital letters that you receive in your digital letter box meet the same security requirements as physical delivery. Your mail remains confidential – only you have access to your documents.

Here’s how to get started

    Download the Post-App from the App Store or Google Play .

    Log in to the Post-App with your SwissID or register with a newly created SwissID address.

    Click on the “ePost – My digital mail” tile and activate your digital mailbox (standard).

    In future, you’ll receive your mail directly in the app – digitally, securely and clearly.

Receive physical mail digitally – with the scanning service

If you’d also like to receive your physical mail digitally, you can activate the scanning service. Your letter mail will be forwarded to the Swiss Post scanning center, where it will be opened, digitized and delivered securely to your Post-App.

This gives you access to your mail at all times, even when you’re on the go or during extended periods of absence – without having to redirect mail or having piles of paper at home.
