Swiss Post will support you even better in future by simplifying administration tasks.
We have acquired a majority stake in Klara Business Ltd, the Lucerne-based company for digital services, and will jointly develop innovative digital communication services (press release from 9 September 2020).
For this reason, the current “E-Post Office” application and the “Subscription with scanning” service will be discontinued on 31 July 2021 and replaced by new services from KLARA on 1 July 2021.
The new ePost digital letter box
From 1 July 2021, the new ePost digital letter box will be available to you as an app with extensive interactive enhancements and a scanning service. The benefits for you: organize how your documents are filed in just one place, find them easily and carry them with you in your pocket wherever you go.
Add your name to the waiting list and don’t miss the launch of ePost.
What happens now with E-Post Office?
From 1 August 2021 onwards, you will no longer be able to access E-Post Office. From this date onwards, you will be able to download any archived digital mail with a click of a button, which you can then save to your device. You will be able to download your mail items in your personal E-Post area by going to Settings > Data Export (Swiss Post Customer Login required).
Your current contract will be cancelled as of 30 June 2021. In accordance with the relevant notice periods and our GTCs, all data will be permanently and automatically deleted as of 1 August 2021. On request, you will be able to continue to access your “@epost.ch” e-mail address (see instructions below).
Any mail that was previously sent to you digitally will now be delivered physically to your postal address by Swiss Post. You do not need to do anything.
How can you carry on using your @epost.ch e-mail account and your e-mails?
Please note that you must explicitly consent to e-mail use under Settings > E-mail. Otherwise, your e-mail service will be disabled as of 1 August 2021.
I use the “Subscription with scanning” service. What do I need to do?
The procedure for the “Subscription with scanning” service depends on the type of subscription you have.
Monthly subscription: As of 1 June 2021, your monthly subscription will no longer be extended automatically, and your mail will once again be delivered physically to your home address when your subscription expires.
Annual subscription: You will no longer have access as of 1 July 2021. For subscriptions with an expiry date after 1 July 2021, the remaining subscription fee will be paid back to you. Please complete this form by 31 August 2021. From 1 July 2021, the mail will again be delivered physically to your postal address by Swiss Post.
Use the new scanning service from ePost starting 1 July 2021 and receive your letter mail digitally in your app. This does not apply to catalogues, newspapers and magazines or to parcels, which will continue to be physically delivered.
You can now get the monthly subscription for only CHF 14.90
New for you:
- Only one subscription for the entire solution
- Physical letter mail will be redirected to a scanning center • Some of your mail will still be delivered physically, so your letter box will still need to be emptied.
- Extended stays abroad are still possible with Swiss Post’s “Retain mail” service.
- All items are automatically opened and scanned (no preview of envelopes).
- All physical documents will be destroyed in the scanning center after 25 days (automatic forwarding not possible).
- Digital items can be reordered as physical consignments for CHF 5.
For business customers (e.g. SMEs, sole proprietorships) who have previously used the E-Post Office “Subscription with scanning” service, KLARA offers options for business customers. You will find information on this from 1 July 2021 at www.epost.ch/business-customers.
