What happens now with E-Post Office?

From 1 August 2021 onwards, you will no longer be able to access E-Post Office. Before that date, you can download your archived digital mail, save it to your device and import it into the new ePost App. You will be able to download your mail items in your personal E-Post area by going to Settings > Data export (login required)

Your current contract was cancelled as of 30 June 2021. In accordance with the relevant notice periods and our GTCs, all data will be permanently and automatically deleted as of 1 August 2021. On request, you will be able to continue to access your “@epost.ch” e-mail address (see instructions below).

Any mail that was previously sent to you digitally will now be delivered physically to your postal address by Swiss Post. You do not need to do anything.

How can I carry on using my @epost.ch e-mail account and my e-mails?

I use the “Subscription with scanning” service. What should I do?

The procedure for the “Subscription with scanning” service depends on the type of subscription you have.

Monthly subscription: The automatic extension of the monthly subscription was deactivated on 1 June 2021. The mail will again be delivered physically to your postal address once the subscription has expired.

Annual subscription:  You will no longer have access from 1 July 2021. For subscriptions with an expiry date after 1 July 2021, the remaining subscription fee will be paid back to you. Please complete this form by 31 August 2021. From 1 July 2021, the mail will again be delivered physically to your postal address.

Use the new scanning service from ePost and receive your letter mail digitally in your app. This does not apply to catalogues, newspapers and magazines or to parcels, which will continue to be physically delivered.

Private customers can get the monthly subscription for only CHF 14.90.

New for you:

  • Only one subscription for the entire solution
  • Physical letter mail will be redirected to a scanning center
  • Some of your mail (catalogues, newspapers, magazines and parcels) will still be delivered physically, so your letter box will still need to be emptied.
  • Extended stays abroad are still possible with Swiss Post’s “Retain mail” service (without scanning).
  • All items are automatically opened and scanned (no digital preview of envelopes)
  • All physical documents will be destroyed in the scanning center after 25 days (automatic forwarding not possible).
  • Digital items can be reordered as physical consignments for CHF 5.

For business customers (e.g. SMEs, sole proprietorships) who have previously used the E-Post Office “Subscription with scanning” service, KLARA offers options for business customers. You will find more information at www.epost.ch/en/business-customers/receive.
