Who is this service for? Preconditions
“Business reply label” is a service for business customers with a billing relationship with Swiss Post.
If you do not yet have a billing relationship with Swiss Post, you can apply for one.
By sending business reply labels, you as a business customer accept the conditions and guidelines in the associated factsheet as an integral component of your contract with Swiss Post. In particular, you undertake to prepare your consignments with business reply labels correctly and to pay the applicable price for any business reply label returned to you.
Here’s how it works
Create the “business reply label” postage paid impression using the “Create postage paid impressions” online service
or:
Prepare the data matrix code in accordance with the directives in the “Barcodes and data matrix codes for letter mail” manual.
and:
Create the layout with the help of the formatting templates.

FAQs
If you would like use business reply labels outside Switzerland, the Combi Response and Global Response problems are available to you:
- You can use Combi Response for mailings to addresses both within Switzerland and abroad.
- You can use Global Response only for business reply labels that are being sent abroad.
With dynamic codes (DmC), you can also include customized elements such as customer-, location- or action-related data in the code. This means you will receive data about the sorting of each individual response, enabling you to automate your response management.
You can create a dynamic data matrix code for business reply labels with the “Barcodes and data matrix codes for letter mail” manual (PDF, 5.2 MB) (German version) and your own software, or with the assistance of a print service provider or letter shop.
If you wish to use business reply labels as referral cards* or for other unfranked responses, then you may produce and use these business reply labels without a printed recipient address. More information can be found in the “Business reply label” factsheet (PDF, 541.1 KB)Document is unavailable..
*You can issue referral cards at the point of sale or enclose them with a mailing, parcel or magazine. This enables your customers to recommend your company.
Yes, that is possible. For registered mail, the value-added service is displayed as a “GAS” product and value-added service code instead of as a data matrix code. More information is available at www.swisspost.ch/registered. The print template can be found with the design templates.
