E-Tracking Light
Inexpensive international consignment tracking

Anchor Navigation

You regularly send small goods abroad and would like to know whether your consignment has arrived without using the Registered (R) value-added service? With E-Tracking Light, you can track your consignment all the way to the destination country.

For international mail order companies, Swiss Post offers an inexpensive option for tracking and tracing small goods consignments up to 2 kg. Consignment tracking with E-Tracking Light works using a radio label with RFID technology, which is activated before the consignment is mailed. The radio label is registered automatically at the letter processing centers, where up to seven consignment events are generated. The last signal from the radio label is registered when the consignment enters the domestic sorting system in the destination country. You can view all consignment events at Swiss Post’s “Track consignments (Track & Trace)” online service. The delivery is made without a delivery scan and without the signature of the recipient.

E-Tracking Light is a value-added service for international letters with PRIORITY franking in the large letter and maxi letter formats. To track consignments, you will need to affix an RFID radio label to the front of the envelope in addition to the franking and PRIORITY label

Important information

The E-Tracking Light value-added service is available for business customers who maintain a billing relationship with Swiss Post.

Delivery times

As specified for the PRIORITY addressed letters service.

The consignment must be labelled with the PRIORITY label. In addition, the radio label must also be affixed to the front of the consignment.

Obtaining radio labels

Radio labels are available from your customer advisor, or you can produce them yourself by following our specifications. You can also obtain the specifications and more information from your customer advisor.

Consignment tracking with E-Tracking Light is available in countries in which letter processing centers are already equipped with the relevant infrastructure. Consignment events are displayed within a few hours after registration. The last consignment event occurs when the consignment enters the domestic sorting system in the destination country.

The radio label can be impaired by special consignment packaging and contents, including for example metallized or coated packaging, metal or items with metallized surfaces, glass, liquids, textiles with ESD materials or fibre composites.
