Sending small goods easily and at less cost

For business customers with a high quantity of small consignments, Swiss Post provides the SmallPac, an inexpensive option for shipping in a defined format and weight.

SmallPac offers business partners a price incentive to package goods at a reduced volume and thereby save on packaging material and transport costs. The SmallPac format fits in the storage compartment of private letter boxes and does not have to be picked up in a branch or delivered a second time if the recipient is not home, meaning it also meets the recipients’ need to receive ordered goods as quickly as possible. Delivery is mostly carried out using electric delivery vehicles powered by 100% “naturemade star” certified green power.

Service characteristics

  • Delivery times: SmallPac Priority (next-day delivery) andSmallPac Economy (two working days after deposit date)
  • Liability: excluded
  • Value-added services: Saturday delivery (SA) and dangerous goods (LQ)
  • Recipient services*: notification of the consignment to the recipient, consignment deposit (acc. to “My consignments”), delivery to neighbour, PickPost / My Post 24 address, other address (without P.O. Box, without poste restante)

Please note

  • The offer is aimed exclusively at business customers with a minimum quantity of 50,000 SmallPac consignments per year.
  • The acceptance points and times for SmallPac consignments are defined by agreement with a Swiss Post logistics center or by means of collection. Posting must be carried out separately according to product categories and delivery times.
  • The consignment data must be sent via DataTransfer. When using the Digital Commerce API or the “Domestic parcel labels” online service, data transfer is automatically ensured.
  • SmallPac must not have any features that require manual processing (packaging with a non-standard shape such as rolls).
  • Delivery is carried out as standard to the storage compartment of the private letter box throughout Switzerland and in the Principality of Lichtenstein Monday to Friday (also possible on Saturday with SmallPac Priority and the value- added service of Saturday delivery (SA)).
  • If it is not possible to deliver to the storage compartment, the recipient is notified of the consignment. A second attempted delivery at the recipient’s request is included in the consignment price.
  • The price for SmallPac is defined individually per customer.
