Christmas mailing deadlines

PromoPost consignments will be delivered as per the service conditions (overview in the PromoPost service factsheet (PDF, 109.7 KB)).

¹↑ For letters with confirmation of receipt, as per A Mail excl. Saturdays (exception: P.O. Boxes that are emptied on Saturdays on a regular basis and have a staffed collection counter in the P.O. Box facility). A Mail Plus consignments as per A Mail incl. Saturdays.

Documents, small goods and international consignments. Latest mailing deadlines for deliveries before Christmas:

Swiss-Express “Day” self-delivery

The delivery takes place on the same day, provided that the goods have been dropped off by 5.30 a.m.

On 25/26 December 2025 and 1/2 January 2026, there will be no collections and/or deliveries. On the other days, collections/deliveries will be at the usual times.

For business customers with a collection or special delivery contract:

Collections and special deliveries will be carried out as contractually agreed.

Exception: no collections will take place on 24 and 31 December. For these two days, you can select an alternative time slot via the customer letter regarding holiday operations or the email with the online form that was sent to you.

Please note: if there are individual days when you do not want normal delivery, please issue a “Retain mail” order at www.swisspost.ch/customer-center or in a Swiss Post branch.

Do you have any questions? Call us on 0800 825 800. If your collection volume is larger than contractually agreed, please let us know by telephone at least four hours prior to the collection time.

Parcel centers

In addition to the regular sorting days, posting at parcel centers is also possible and preferred on the following days:

Direct deliveries must be arranged with the centers and are possible within the time slots indicated.

There are no unannounced postings. As a rule, posting is possible only for rolling cages, pallets and swap bodies.

Deliveries with tractor units or loose deliveries should be arranged in advance with the relevant parcel center (PZ).
