Confederation approves Swiss Post’s accounts and elects Antonia Wanner as new Member of the Board of Directors

Yesterday, the Swiss Post Ltd General Meeting approved the 2022 consolidated and annual fi-nancial statements. As in the previous year, Swiss Post’s dividend to the Confederation amounts to 50 million francs. The General Meeting also elected Antonia Wanner to the Swiss Post Board of Directors. Antonia Wanner succeeds Nadja Lang, who did not to stand for re-election after nine years on the Board of Directors.

At the General Meeting on 2 May 2023, the Confederation, as the sole shareholder of Swiss Post, approved all pro-posals put forward by the Board of Directors and granted full discharge to the members of the Board of Directors for the 2022 financial year. As in the previous year, the dividend paid to the Confederation by Swiss Post from the avail-able profit for 2022 amounts to 50 million francs. The General Meeting approved the 2022 consolidated and annual financial statements. The Confederation additionally acknowledged that the upper limits for Board of Directors fees and Executive Management salaries were respected in 2022 and approved the upper limits for these salaries for the 2024 financial year. 

Antonia Wanner elected as Member of the Board of Directors

The Swiss Post Annual General Meeting elected Dr iur. Antonia Wanner as a Member of the Swiss Post Board of Directors with effect from 2 May 2023. Antonia Wanner was born in 1967, is a German citizen and has lived in Saint-Légier (Canton of Vaud) since 2006. She studied law at the Universities of Tübingen, Lausanne and Bonn and passed the bar exam in Munich. In 1996, she began her professional career as in-house lawyer at Nestlé Deutschland AG, where she later held several management positions in procurement and sales and set up the first sustainability pro-gramme for Nestlé Germany. From 2006, Antonia Wanner held several management positions for Nestlé worldwide in Vevey and, among other things, created the first supplier code. From 2017 to 2020, Antonia Wanner was Chief Procurement Officer for Nestlé worldwide. As of 2020, she is head of ESG strategy and deployment for Nestlé and, as such, responsible for the company-wide operationalization of Nestlé’s environmental, social and governance (ESG) strategy. Christian Levrat, Chairman of the Swiss Post Board of Directors, is looking forward to working with Antonia Wanner: “Swiss Post wants to play a pioneering role in sustainability. Customers expect Swiss Post to provide envi-ronmentally friendly logistics. With her many years of management experience at a global corporation and expertise in sustainability, Antonia Wanner will be a valuable addition to the Swiss Post Board of Directors.” Antonia Wanner is married and has two adult sons. She succeeds Nadja Lang, who did not to stand for re-election after nine years on the Board of Directors (see press release).
