In her role as operations manager, Amira Heim helps to develop sales and customer service at PostLogistics, while studying for a master’s in business administration at the University of Bern on a part-time basis. When she found out about the opportunity to help out the delivery team via the internal jobs site, she knew she wanted to play her part. “Our delivery team has to deal with challenging volumes which is why I think it’s great that I can support them at this time,” she says. She has now been supporting the Niederscherli delivery team since the beginning of April, sorting and categorizing B Mail letters and helping to load letter and parcel post. “As well as working from home, I can lend the delivery team a hand which means I get some exercise in my daily working routine and it’s also a new challenge for me.” Amira spends a few hours working in the back office of the post office once or twice a week, in the morning or afternoon. “As the shifts are short, they fit in perfectly with my employment level. I’m able to organize myself so that I can dedicate enough time to my project work as well as my current assignments,” she explains, adding: “I’m working with a lovely team who have a really positive attitude and appreciate the support.”
