Guided tours for school groups

A tour of the Museum of Communication

Would you like to find out more about how Swiss Post has managed to be there for everyone, everywhere for 175 years? Then come on an exclusive Swiss Post anniversary tour at the Museum of Communication, Bern. We invite you to join us on a journey through 175 years of Swiss Post and also to gain insights into the Swiss Post of today and tomorrow. The museum’s communicators will surprise you with a unique, interactive tour.

When: from 23 March to 5 October 2024, every Saturday at 1 p.m., 2 p.m. or 3 p.m.

There are no guided tours in August.

Where: Museum of Communication, Bern

Duration: 1 hour

Swiss Post will cover the costs of admission and the guided tour. Submit a binding registration to benefit from this exclusive offer. The registration deadline is Friday at 10 a.m. before the respective guided tour. The number of participants is limited; the tour is suitable for children aged around 10 years and older.

The Swiss Post anniversary tours are held in German, French or Italian, depending on the date. You can find the details in the registration.

The museum is fully accessible, visits with pushchairs are possible. The museum has no parking spaces, we recommend getting there by public transport.

School pupils in the Museum of Communication

Would you like to immerse yourself in the varied history of the postal service with your school class and learn more about Switzerland’s public service in a fun way? Swiss Post is inviting 175 school classes to an exclusive Swiss Post anniversary tour. Combine the Swiss Post anniversary tour with an exclusive museum visit and immerse yourself and your class in topics such as face-to-face communication, digitization and media skills. Primary and secondary school children are equally well catered for, the tour is suitable for children aged around 10 years and older.

When: from 23 March until the end of 2024

The Swiss Post anniversary tour for school classes is available directly from the Museum of Communication in German and French. It is also available in Italian only on request.

Anniversary family festival

We want to celebrate with you and your family! Come to our family days at the Museum of Communication in Bern and experience fun, games and excitement revolving around Swiss Post’s history.

Numerous highlights await you in and around the museum: Benno B Mail will entertain you and put a smile on your face, short interactive tours will help you learn more about Swiss Post’s 175-year history, and round trips on a vintage Postbus will take you on a nostalgic trip down memory lane. You can also enjoy a wide range of other activities1, such as our DXP simulator, the PostBus bouncy castle, a photo booth and XXL snakes and ladders.

An eventful day for all the family is guaranteed.
