How does the treasure hunt work?
You can get the treasure hunt instructions (game instructions and stamp cards) in an envelope at a Swiss Post branch. If the branch is closed, you will find a yellow Swiss Post safe with a combination lock near the entrance (see picture).
The code for the combination lock is Swiss Post’s birth year. The safe contains an envelope with the treasure hunt instructions.
The treasure hunt instructions are available in German. The treasure hunt instructions in all the languages are also available for download below. When you take part in the competition, please remember to take the treasure hunt instructions and, above all, the stamp card with you on the treasure hunt (even if you download them). Only with the stamp card and the valid stamp symbol can you take part in the competition and win great prizes.

Swiss Post buildings and art in architecture
The St. Gallen main post office, which opened in 1887, was truly palatial. It was the first post office building built by the Confederation. In the years that followed, additional prestigious post office buildings were built in quick succession in the cantonal capitals and other larger towns in Switzerland. The roots of Swiss Post’s commitment to art in architecture also date back to 1887 and can be found in the federal resolution “on the promotion and elevation of Swiss art”.
After the Second World War, the Swiss Confederation decreed that one percent of public building construction costs should be invested in “art in architecture” projects. This gave rise to artworks in and on Swiss Post buildings throughout Switzerland. Today, Swiss Post invests in sustainable construction rather than in postal palaces: Swiss Post currently operates 31 photovoltaic systems on the roofs of its major sites and regional parcel centers.
