You’ll have achieved good grades at commercial school (model 3 plus or 3 + 1) and be working towards your vocational baccalaureate.

You’ll also:

• Be independent, have strong powers of concentration, be highly motivated to learn and have a good head for figures
• Be reliable and a strong team player and have good interpersonal skills
• Show initiative and be responsible and honest

The one-year traineeship lasts from August to July and can be undertaken in two ways:

1. A three-month placement at a branch, followed by nine months working in a new area.
2. Six months on your first placement, followed by six months on your second placement in a different area.

Placement options include:

• HR
• Finance
• Marketing
• Sales
• Logistics and organization

On the in-house training programme, you’ll acquire the knowledge that will enable you to advise customers professionally. You’ll get to know Swiss Post’s processes, services and products.

After successfully completing your training, you’ll have a wide range of further training opportunities open to you. These include:

• Bachelor’s degree at a university of applied sciences
• Specialist examinations in a particular area
• Language study programmes
