Cross-company programme in data science

We’re looking for people who immerse themselves in numbers and are not afraid to take a fresh look at things.
You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a MINT subject such as informatics, statistics, mathematics or natural sciences.
You have a good understanding of programming, data and database systems, and a sound knowledge of statistics.
You have a good command of German (at least level C1) and English (at least level B2).
You are a communicative personality with highly developed analytical skills, you are highly motivated and willing to learn, and you show initiative.
The cross-company programme in data science lasts 18 months; the working hours are 100 percent. During this time, you will work in the area of data science for six months at each one of the three companies participating in the programme. You will have the opportunity to apply your theoretical knowledge in a future-oriented professional field – an exciting entry into the world of work with the opportunity to network within three companies.
During the programme, you will be responsible for:
- Collecting new market-relevant data and preparing it for quantitative analysis using the latest methods and technologies.
- Carrying out quantitative analyses of large volumes of data using mathematical models.
- Reviewing methods and results for their significance and developing and implementing your own analysis models, methods and algorithms.
- Communicating the analysis results and preparing documents and reports for specific target groups.
Start and place of work
The cross-company programme in data science starts each year in early autumn. The place of work is Bern.

What happens next?
During a half-day meeting with applicants, we will get to know you personally and familiarize you with the placement areas at the participating companies.
