The debt collection extract is an official document issued by the competent debt collection office. It shows whether a person has been the subject of debt collection proceedings since they moved to their current address or in the past five years at the most. The extract also shows the status of debt collection proceedings.

2. The Swiss Post employee checks and scans your proof of identity and creates an application, which you will be asked to check. You check the information and certify that it is correct by signing. 3. The extract will be sent to you by post within a few working days.

An extract from the debt collection register can be ordered by any private individual (natural person). The service can be ordered in all self-operated Swiss Post branches or online. Firms and companies (legal entities) cannot order debt collection register extracts. You can order an extract for yourself (self-certification sent to your residential address).
