With our “Movers’ returns” service, we can also send you the new, correct address (plus original address) together with the returns data using data from sorting.

Swiss Post’s address database is unrivalled in Switzerland in terms of quality and quantity. We use our address services to compare our address data with this database. We ensure we are in strict compliance with the legal requirements of data protection. We do not sell, rent or lease any addresses.

Using Letter ID, we can extract the recipient address from sorting for movers’ returns. This allows us to compare this information with our movers’ file database and to integrate the new address, together with the original address, into the returns file (if retrievable). In the case of movers’ returns, the search for the new address is limited solely to undeliverable items. For consignments with a current forwarding order, a consignment can be delivered, which is why a new address can never be issued.

Use of the “Movers’ returns” service is contractually agreed, and is solely available through the “DataTransfer” interface. A technical requirement to do this is the affixing of Letter ID  when sending mail, and digital return instructions so we can provide you with your letter returns in data form.
