Logistics technician, Federal VET Certificate
Swiss Post’s letter and parcel centers is where everything happens. You’ll receive, frank and sort consignments, as well as operate flat sorting machines. Placements in delivery and in warehousing operations will complete your professional experience.
Requirements
You must have successfully completed secondary education for this apprenticeship.
You’ll also:

- Be willing to work irregular hours
Training and vocational school
The training lasts for two years and will get you off to a flying start in the world of work. You’ll complete the practical training at a letter or parcel center. You’ll also do a placement with letter or parcel delivery and at an external warehouse. You’ll obtain the necessary theoretical knowledge at vocational school or on internal courses. You’ll also obtain a licence to drive forklift vehicles.
Training locations: Eclépens, Härkingen and Zurich-Mülligen letter centers; Härkingen, Frauenfeld and Cadenazzo parcel centers.
Further education
After successfully completing the training, you can undertake the basic training in logistics/distribution during the second year of your apprenticeship and obtain the Swiss proficiency certificate. This qualification provides a further boost to your prospects on the job market.
